More than 10,000 Marylanders may be affected by ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals
program, also known as DACA or The Dream Act. DACA participants are people who have been living in
the US their entire lives and have never known any home but this. They MUST legally have no prior
criminal record and have voluntarily come forward to try to obtain legal status. Ending this program
accomplishes no purpose and will push those who have reached out to us in trust to illegal and unsafe
situations.
